Roger Sinclair Selected for the Hopwood Award

Roger Sinclair has been selected as this year's recipient of Great-West Life’s national Jack Hopwood Memorial Award, the first in the Maritimes. The Hopwood Award is presented by Great-West Life every two years to a financial security advisor who shows outstanding community involvement.

Four charitable organizations in Atlantic Canada will share a $10,000 donation from The Great-West Life Assurance Company to honour the contribution of Roger Sinclair.

The Hopwood Award is Great-West Life’s most prestigious award for advisors and includes a $10,000 corporate contribution through The Key to Giving™ – the national corporate citizenship program of Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life. Sinclair has chosen to share the donation among Brigadoon Children’s Camp Society, the University of Prince Edward Island, the IWK Health Care Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Associated with Great-West Life since 1982, Sinclair helped found Brigadoon, a non-profit year-round facility in Nova Scotia dedicated to helping young people living with a chronic illness or condition. He is President of Clan Sinclair Society of Nova Scotia and has been an active local and national volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society. Born in Springfield, P.E.I., Sinclair is a former member of the board of governors of the University of Prince Edward Island.
